A mass of Christian burial for former Lamar, Colorado resident, currently of Brush, Colorado, Yolanda Marquez will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Mariusz Wirkowski as celebrant. A rosary service will be held prior to the mass at 9:30AM with Deacon Allan Medina reciting. Inurnment will follow at Fairmont Cemetery.
Per Yolanda’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Yolanda was born on May 9, 1937 at Lamar, Colorado to Manuel Del Hierro Sr. and Lorraine (Martinez) Hawley and passed away on December 29, 2018 at the Sunset Manor in Brush, Colorado at the age of 81.
She is preceded in death by daughter, Myra Perdue, parents, Manuel Del Hierro Sr. and Lorraine (Martinez) Hawley, siblings; Juliet Adame, Manuel Del Hierro, Jr. and Frank Del Hierro.
Yolanda is survived by daughter, JoAnn Del Hierro of Lakewood, CO; Granddaughter Bailey Medina of Colorado Springs, CO, siblings, Celia (Pat) Vega of Denver, Gloria (Eloy) Gonzales of Littleton, CO and Michael (Ruth) Del Hierro of Highlands Ranch, CO. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
