Wayne F. Dittburner, longtime Lamar resident, passed away at the age of 66 on March 22, 2013 at his home in Lamar with his wife Doreen and his 3 children by his side following his battle with cancer.
Wayne was born on May 18, 1946 at Chicago, Illinois to Floyd and Laura (Fisher) Dittburner.
Per Mr. Dittburner’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no public services.
He is preceded in death by his father and one brother Neal Dittburner.
Wayne is survived by his wife Doreen of the family home in Lamar; three children: Melanie (Brian) Dewbre of Douglasville, Georgia, Jason (Heather) Dittburner of La Junta, CO, Diane (Michael) Thompson of Englewood, CO as well as his mother Laura Dittburner of Lamar, CO. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Michael and Jasen Dewbre, Jacob, Hannah, Joseph Dittburner and Raya and Crew Thompson as well as many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice or to the Southeast Colorado Cancer Initiative (SECCI) direct or in care of the funeral home office.
