Vivian Ply
A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Lorene Vivian Ply, affectionately known to her family and friends as Vivian will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Vivian will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Vivian was born on February 26, 1930 at Syracuse, Kansas to Pike and Velma M. (Johnson) Lanquist and passed away on November 1, 2017 at her home in Lamar with her family by her side at the age of 87.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Duane Ply, her parents, grandson, Ryan Douglas Ply and her brothers, Ellis Lanquist and Norman Lanquist.
Vivian is survived by her children, Randall Ply of Lamar, Judy Turpin of Lamar and Gary (Susie) Ply of Pueblo, CO, grandchildren, Brandon Ply and Justin (Kayla) Ply all of Valdosta, GA, Tamara (Matt) Turpin-Martinez and Brady (Katie Peters) Turpin all of Lamar. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Kolby, Cade, Madison and Kastyn Ply, Mason and Malea Martinez and Rylan Cook and Mollie Ann Turpin as well as numerous other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Christian Church, Prowers Medical Center Auxiliary and/or the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
