A Celebration of Life for lifelong Lamar resident, Vera G. Johnson were held at 10:00AM, Friday, June 13, 2013 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. Interment followed at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Vera was held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 4pm until 7pm at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Vera was born on February 16, 1927 at Lamar, CO to Lee and Jennie (Minder) Sherer and passed away at Prowers Medical Center on June 6, 2014 at the age of 87.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Charles E. Johnson, parents and her siblings; Irene Eddleman, John Sherer, Ann Crow and Albert Sherer.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sisters; Lucy Fowler of Wiley and Betty Bertalotto of McAllen, TX. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the Peacock Funeral Home.
