There will be no services or visitation at this time, as requested by Avondale, Arizona resident and former Lamar resident, Tommy Griffith.
Tommy was born on August 20, 1961 in Lamar to Hank and Isabell Griffith and departed this life on Saturday February 25, 2012 in Avondale, Arizona at the age of 50 following a short illness.
Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by his parents; by one brother – George Griffith; by one sister Rae Bowen; by two nieces – Kathy Griffith and Rosa Lee Sims; by two nephews; Wayne Sims and Randy Griffith; and by one brother-in-law – Bill Bowen. Tommy is survived by three sisters – Marjory (Lloyd) Sims of Montrose, CO; Nellie Mauch of Lamar; and Jackie Darbyshire of Dumas, TX; and by one brother – Dick Griffith of Avondale, AZ; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to a charity of one’s choice either directly or through the Peacock Funeral Home in Lamar.
