A Mass of Christian Burial for longtime Lamar resident, Rudy Ray Munez was held at 10:00 AM Tuesday August 5, 2014 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Charlie Sena as Celebrant. A rosary service was held at 6:00 PM Monday also at the Catholic Church led by Deacon Allan Medina. Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Rudy Ray was held on Monday August 4, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar.
Rudy Ray Munez was born on April 17, 1966 in Lamar, Colorado to Rudy Munez and Martha (Crespin) Munez and departed this life on Tuesday July 29, 2014 at Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 48.
Rudy was preceded in death by his grandparents and by one brother – Manuel Munez on April 23, 2006; and by one cousin – Danny Arguello.
Rudy is survived by two children – Nathan (Misty) Martinez of Lamar; and Phania Martinez of Pueblo; by his mother-Martha Munez of Lamar; his father – Rudy Munez of Greeley; by four grandchildren; by three siblings – Paula (Phillip) Martinez of Lamar; Maria (Matt) Sandoval of Greeley; and Melinda (Matt) Clarke of Colorado Springs; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Rudy Ray Munez memorial fund in care of the Peacock Funeral Home.
Services for Rudy Ray Munez are under the direction of the Peacock Funeral Home.
