Rudolph Melgoza
A celebration of life for former Lamar resident currently of Windsor, Colorado, Rudolph Melgoza affectionately known to his family and friends as Rudy, will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. Interment with full military honors under the auspices of the local V.F.W. and American Legion Posts will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in the Veteran’s Section.

Visitation for Rudy will be held from 3:00PM until 5:00PM on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Rudy was born on June 14, 1941 at Lamar, Colorado to Ramon and Consuelo (DelHierro) Melgosa and passed away on July 31, 2017 at the Windsor Health Center in Windsor, Colorado with his daughter by his side at the age of 76.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Rudy is survived by his daughter, Valerie (Kyle) Cook and one granddaughter Willow Cook all of Greeley, CO, siblings, Elydia Ubeles of La Junta, Raymond (Margaret) Melgoza, Jr. of Lamar, Armando (Ann) Melgosa of Mesa, AZ, Mario Oscar Melgosa of Lamar, Danny (Carmen) Melgosa of Pueblo West, CO, Hortensia (Leroy) Quintana of Colorado Springs, CO, Frank (Margaret) Melgosa, Albert Melgosa and Sandra (Joel) Lunduist all of Rocky Ford, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
