A graveside funeral service for longtime Lamar resident, Rosie Wells, was held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Holly Cemetery with Reverend Kathy Leathers of the Holly United Methodist Church officiating.
Visitation for Rosie was held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Mrs. Wells was born on October 18, 1919 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Ed and Lillie (Swartz) Davis and departed this life on Friday, November 23, 2012 at Juniper Village in Lamar at the age of 93.
Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Oddlie Wells, sister Lillie Wells, and by one daughter-in-law Mary Rebecca Murk and grandson Ed Hart.
Rosie is survived by her sons; Allen (Melissa Burk) Murk of Lamar; Edward (Mary Lou Hall) Murk of Idaho Falls, ID; and Johnnie (Dawn) Wells of Austin, TX; by grandchildren; Russell Murk and James Murk, Lana Nelson; Crystal Otto; and Violet McRae all of Rexburg, ID, Allen (Atha) Murk, Jr. and Danny Murk all of Marble Falls, TX; great-grandchildren; James and Dalton Murk, Shelton and Paul Nelson, Fallon and Kaden McRae, Cole and Houston Murk, Gage Otto, Josh Murk, Jeremiah Wells and John John Wells, great-great grandchild; Payton Murk also surviving are a host of friends.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or through the funeral home office.
