Rogelio “Roger” Andrade
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 AM Friday January 6, 2012for longtime area resident, Rogelio Andrade at St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Charlie Sena as celebrant. A Rosary Service was held prior to the Mass at 9:30AM. Deacon Alan Medina recited the rosary prayers which was also held at the church. A Rite of Committal followed the Mass at Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Andrade was held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Peacock Funeral Home.
Mr. Andrade was born November 5, 1922 at, Tlazazalca, Michoacan, Mexico to Vincente and Josephina (Melgosa) Andrade and passed away at Juniper Village with his family by his side on January 1, 2012 at the age of 89.
Rogelio is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; AngelAndrade and Frank Andrade, sisters Rose Garcia, Dora Ortiz and an infant sister Cassamira Andrade.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Carmen of the family home in Lamar and his daughter Delores Jean (Marcelino) Sena of Denver; grandchildren Michael (Julie) Sena of Richland, WA, Jennifer (Lary) Ramos of Littleton, CO, great grandchildren; Jeremiah, Nicole, Ryan, Alicia, Morgan and Tyler as well as his brothers; Lupe (Mary Ann) Andrade, Jesse (Vickie) Andrade and Eddie Andrade all of Lamar, Vincente Andrade of Granada, Paul Andrade of Denver;sister; Gloria (John) Gallegos of Thornton, CO and Mary Montez of Lamar as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice or to St. Francis De Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
