A graveside celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Pete Collier, along with inurnment of his wife, Barbara Jo Collier will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Rory Gillespie of the Lamar First Presbyterian Church officiating.

Per Pete’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.

Pete was born on May 13, 1930 at Manter, Kansas to Harry and Rene (Robinson) Collier and passed away on October 28, 2019 at his daughter’s home in Hasty at the age of 89 with his family by his side.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jo (Stephens) Collier; his parents and five siblings.

Pete is survived by his children, Craig (Carol Tellez) Collier of Lemoyne, NE, Cody (Robert) Ratcliff of Hasty and Nicki Sue Chick of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Chase (Michelle) Collier, Jason (Jerie Rider) Ratcliff, Robbie (Tiffany) Smith, Kenny (Gudmila) Chick and Kara Chick; and great-grandchildren, Kayson Collier, Connor Collier, Ryker Ratcliff, Jaxton and Porter Chick. He is also survived by his siblings, Carol Gordon of Kingman, AZ, Zeta Faye Shigley of Colorado Springs, CO and Roberta Jo Pacheco of Canon City, CO as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice and/or The Prowers County Veteran’s Transportation Fund either direct or in care of the funeral home office.

Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
