Pete Bouwens

Harry L. “Pete” Bouwens

            A private family service for longtime Lamar, Colorado resident Harry L. Bouwens affectionately known to his family and friends as Pete will be held at a later date.

            Pete was born on April 30, 1935 at Wabeno, Wisconsin to Bernard Raymond and Myrtle Carolyn (Johnson) Bouwens and passed away on April 30, 2023 at the Bent County Healthcare Center in Las Animas, Colorado at the age of 88.

            He is preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Myrtle Bouwens, son Kerry Bouwens, sister Delores “Alice” Holbrook and brother Bernard “Bob” Bouwens.

            Pete is survived by his daughter Michele Bouwens Hill, son Mike (Lynda) Bouwens, grandchildren Alec Wilke, Tanner Wilke, Drew Bouwens, Hayli Bouwens and Ethan Bouwens and great-grandsons Issac and Nathan. He is also survived by his siblings Kenny Bouwens, Dennis (Vickie) Bouwens and Lora Green as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
