Paul E. VanHorn
Paul Everett VanHorn, of Lamar, Colorado died Monday, November 21, 2016 at his home.
Paul was born December 9, 1962 in Denver, Colorado.
A Memorial and Celebration of Life service was held for him at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Lamar Estates Nursing Home, 205 S. 10th Street, Lamar CO 81502.
All are welcome.
His final resting place will be at Ft. Logan Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
Paul served as a medic in the occupational therapy field in the United States Army from 1987 to 1991 where he achieved the rank of Corporal. Upon being honorably discharged, he attended and graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. He worked proudly in his field for many years, most recently in Lamar and Holly, Colorado, where he was loved by those who knew him and in his care.
He was active in the community and made many wonderful friendships. Paul enjoyed music, playing his guitar, fishing, outdoor activities and being of service to others. He loved and enjoyed life.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Hannah; his mother, Joan; his sisters, Jennifer and Stephanie and their husbands; his nieces, Sophia and Ava; and his wife, Jeannette.
He was preceded in death by his father, Farrell VanHorn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army in Lamar, Colorado or a charity of choice.
