A celebration of life for lifetime Lamar resident, Patty L. McDowell was held at 10:00AM on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker officiating. Interment followed at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Patty was held from 3:00PM until 5:00PM on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Patty was born on March 14, 1959 at Lamar, Colorado to Lloyd Perkins and Armilda Bowen and passed away on February 10, 2017 at her home in Lamar at the age of 57.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Perkins, grandson, Reece Harbour and her mother and father-in-law, Robert and Hattie McDowell.
Patty is survived by her husband, Carol McDowell of the family home in Lamar, children, Junior (Wendy) McDowell of Eads, April (David) Harbour, Tana (Dustin) Pearson and Melinda McDowell all of Lamar and her grandchildren, Abbie, Trey, Cade, Madison, Ryan, Tines, River, Kevin, James, Hailey and Ali. She is also survived by her parents, Lee and Armilda Williams and her siblings, Mary Lou (Jim) Turner of Las Animas, CO, Louise (Rod) Graves of Lamar, Peggy Thomas of Rocky Ford, CO, Albert (Teri) Perkins of Lamar, Geniel (Darrell) Burke of Greeley, CO, Velinda (Kevin) Matthews, Donna (Keith) McGinnis and Darin (Shelene) Williams all of Dalhart, TX as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Southeast Colorado Cancer Initiative either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
