Our beloved mother, Patricia J. Rocco-Ogden, a long term resident of Lamar, CO passed away April 6th in Phoenix, AZ. Patricia was born on April 18, 1933 in Four Corners, Kansas.

She is preceeded in death by her parents, Verna and Ralph Williams, her brother, Homer Williams, her sisters Hope Boyle and Mildred Costin, and her granddaughter, Sommer Renee Rojo.  She is survived by her sister Mable Barr, her loving daughters Debbie Rocco, Cindy Benequista, and Marcia Nowell and her grandchildren Shelby Nowell and Joseph Benequista.

Pat retired from Lamar Community College in 1989 where she was a respected, loyal professional and valued friend.  Following retirement Pat brought her compassion, work ethic and creativity to her work with Southeastern Area Healthcare where she served as the Executive Director and to her role with Lamar Hospice.  

Pat is remembered as a true friend of hospice where she was instrumental in growing and helping to establish a solvent path forward for the program.  Through a grant she established the Senior Respite program.  Pat was also awarded the Lamar Chamber of Commerce 1986 Athena Award in recognition of her professional accomplishments and civic contributions.

Pat spent the last 8 years in Anthem, AZ where she was close to her daughters and grandchildren.  She will be remembered by her family and friends for her love, devotion and generous spirit and for those who knew her best, her open door policy at 504.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held in Anthem, AZ on April 18th at 4:00 p.m.  Donations in Pat’s memory can be sent to Lamar Hospice at www.LamarHospice.org
