Services for longtime Lamar resident, Monty K. Mason will be held at a later date.
Per Monty’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Monty was born on March 22, 1947 at Garden City, Kansas to Marvin Eugene and Maxine Mae (Widows) Mason and passed away on May 11, 2017 at his home in Lamar at the age of 70 with his family by his side.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Saundra Mason and Gina Mills.
Monty is survived by his wife, Jerilou Webb-Mason of the family home in Lamar, children, Neil Scott Mason, Ryan James Mason and Marc Allen Mason all of Pampa, Texas, two grandchildren and his siblings, Don (Kathy) Mason of Lamar, Delores (Roger) Kreger of Fowler, Kansas, Candace (Bob) Plowman of Syracuse, Kansas and Tom Mason of Wichita, Kansas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
