A memorial service for longtime Lamar resident, Minda Lou Witt will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker officiating.
Per Minda’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Minda was born on November 18, 1960 at Walsenburg, Colorado to Louis John and Jerry Juanita (Christesson) Schmidt and passed away on November 21, 2017 at her home in Lamar with her family by her side at the age of 57.
She is preceded in death by her nephew, John Schmidt, her father and mother-in-law, Ansel and Lucille Witt, maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Joe Christesson and paternal grandparents, Sophie and Ewald Schmidt.
Minda is survived by her husband, Randy Witt, children, Kyla Witt and Ty Witt all of Lamar, her parents, Louis and Jerry Schmidt of Monte Vista, CO, and her siblings, J.D. (Carla) Schmidt of Monte Vista, CO; Beth Schmidt of Fort Collins, CO and Larry (Audrey) Schmidt of La Jara, CO as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
