Mildred L. “Millie” Wollert

A funeral service for longtime Prowers and Bent county resident, Mildred L. Wollert, affectionately known to many as Millie, was held at 10:00 AM Friday September 6, 2013 at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar.  Pastor Mike Schneider officiated the service and burial followed in the Wiley Cemetery in Wiley, Colorado.

Visitation for Millie was held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday September 5, 2013 and prior to the service at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar.

Millie was born on October 28, 1939 near Gravette, Arkansas to Paul C and Edith M. (Curtis) DuVall and departed this life on Monday September 2, 2013 at Prowers Medical Center in Lamar at the age of 73.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband – Samuel Morris Wollert; by one sister – Isabel Martin and by one brother – Curtis DuVall.

Millie is survived by four children – Cindy (Jim) Schleining of Wiley; Greg Wollert of Lamar; Kelvin (Christi) Wollert of Lamar; and Jordan Wollert of Wiley; by seven grandchildren – Dallas (Nancy) Schleining of Ault, CO; Angela (Jeff) Leonard of Springfield, CO; Shalah (Matt) Mata of McClave; Austin Wollert and Andrew Wollert of Lamar; and Sam Wollert and Micaela Wollert of Wiley; by five great grandchildren – Jaylene Leonard; Leeanna and Izaiah Ward; and Emma and Duke Schleining; by her siblings – Wilbur (Karen) DuVall of Reed Springs, MO; Frank (Maralyn) DuVall of Granada; and Pauline Rice of Lamar; also surviving are Millie’s in-laws- Louise DuVall; Earl Martin; Ruben Wollert; Adeline Wollert; Emma Miller; Ruth (Dale) Hency; Juanita (Larry) Reinhart; and Richard (Rhonda) Wollert; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Gideon’s or to a charity of one’s choice either directly or through the funeral home office.
