Mildred E. Barber
A graveside celebration of life for longtime Bristol/Granada, Colorado resident, Mildred E. Barber will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Hillside Cemetery in Granada with Ian Blacker officiating.
Per Mildred’s request there will be no visitation.
Mildred was born on February 8, 1925 at her family home north of Bristol, Colorado to Buirl and Thelma (Ferman) McGee and passed away on July 3, 2018 at the Prowers Medical Center with her family by her side at the age of 93.
She is preceded in death by her husband, C.A. “Cricket” Barber, her parents, grandson, Joshua Grasmick and her son-in-law, Ray “Cotton” Jameson as well as her siblings; Peggy Mason, Iletha “Ikie” Hubbard, Melvin McGee and John McGee.
Mildred is survived by her children, Sandra Jameson of Platteville, CO, Sheryl (Tom) Grasmick of Granada and Jim (Michelle) Barber of Pueblo, CO, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Jeanne (Bill) Whitfield of Lafayette, CO as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol/Granada United Methodist Church and/or Bristol/Granada First Responders either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
