A celebration of life memorial service for longtime Las Animas resident, Melissa Jean Cave will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Lamar Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Travis Horn officiating.
Per the family’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Melissa was born on November 9, 1968 at Florence, Colorado to Walter Blaine and Melva Jean (Rice) Cave and passed away on February 3, 2019 at her home in Las Animas at the age of 50.
She is survived by her parents, Blaine and Melva Cave, brother, Gene (Vivian) Cave, nephew, Franklin (Lacee) Cave, niece, Cassy Jimenez, and great-nephews, Mathew, Jeremy, Aiden and Mason all of Lamar. She is also survived by her uncles, Paul Rice of Clinton, AR, Tom (Marcia) Rice of Parachute, CO, Tim Rice of Clinton, AR and David (Terri) Rice of Salida, CO as well as numerous other family and a host of friends.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
