Mary Alice was born on November 30, 1918 to Porter Jack and Nellie Dean (Callihan) Callahan near
Stonington, Colorado and passed away on October 14, 2008 at her home in Lamar with her family by her side. Mary Alice was 89.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jake Broyles, her parents, siblings, Mildred White, Lois Hume, Wayne Callahan, John Callahan, P.J. Callahan and Charles Callahan.
Mary Alice is survived by her children; Freya (Ron) Oakes of Aurora, CO, Marguerite Broyles of Lamar, Bill (Karen Voepel) Broyles of Lamar and Jake (Tracie) Broyles of Hermiston, OR. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Kim Tempel, Jef (Cheryl) Vratny, Lisa (Damon) Vratny-Smith, Jonas Tempel, Gina (Jeff) Broyles Lane, Sarah (David) Nettles and Zachary Broyles, 7 great grandchildren; as well as her siblings; Lyman Callahan of Springfield, CO, and Patricia Guirlani of Jackson, CA.
The Broyles family would like to express their gratitude to the Hospice Association and to friends and family for their wonderful support. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice Association either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
