Marvin Lauderdale
A Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar resident Marvin Lauderdale was held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. Interment followed at McClave Cemetery.
Visitation for Marvin was held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 9:00AM until time of service at 1:00PM.
Marvin was born on August 8, 1937 at Lyndsay, Oklahoma to Don and Letha Mary (Carlton) Lauderdale and passed away on February 22, 2014 at the age of 76.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Linda Hornback and brothers; Kenny Elledge, James Lauderdale, Chris Lauderdale and John William Elledge.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 54 years Peggy of the family home in Lamar, children; Melvin Ray Lauderdale of Lamar, Connie (Stan) Wertz of McClave and Brenda (Michael) Frazzini of Pueblo, grandchildren; Nakoda, Tiarra and Jewell Lauderdale and Camy MacQueen, Scott Wertz, Garrett (Sharleen) Wertz, Mandy (Brock) Sniff, and Gaetano Frazzini as well as five great-grandchildren; Keara Lauderdale, Hannah and Conner Sniff and Madelynn and Tyler Wertz. He is also survived by his siblings; Glen Ray Lauderdale of San Francisco, CA, George (Sue) Elledge of Las Animas, CO, Gwenlynn (Dave) Baxter of Ordway, CO, Sharon Mosely of Fountain, CO, Vona (Jim) Adams of Ordway, CO, and Gaildee Newman of Security, CO, as well as his sister-in-law; Anita Lauderdale of Hemet, CA and brother-in-law; Edward Hornback of San Isentro, CA.
