Marvin D. Fowler
A celebration of life funeral service for longtime Lamar resident Marvin D. Fowler will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Kathy Leathers and Adam Leathers co-officiating the service.
Interment with full Military Honors under the auspices of the Lamar VFW #3621 and the American Legion #71 will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.
Visitation for Marvin will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar.
Marvin was born on February 17, 1924 in Delta, Iowa to Art and Nellie (Simpkins) Fowler and departed this life on Wednesday February 13, 2013 at the home of his son in Ft. Collins at the age of 88.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife of 58 years – Elsie Marie Fowler on February 20, 2006; sister; Dorothy Leathers and brother; Gerald Fowler.
He is survived by his son Steve Fowler of Ft. Collins, two grandchildren, Brockton Fowler and Madison Fowler both of Ft. Collins. Marvin is also survived by his brother Harold (Effie) Fowler of Columbia, MO as well as other relatives and many friends.
