Luis Casillas

            A mass of Christian burial for longtime Lamar resident, Luis Casillas will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Joseph Lawrence as celebrant. A rosary service will be held prior to the mass at 9:30AM at the church with Rosa Gonzalez reciting. Interment will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery.

            Visitation for Luis will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 2:00PM until 5:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.

            Luis was born on May 28, 1992 at Naples, Florida to Guilleormo and San Juana (Villa) Casillas and passed away on December 22, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 30.

            He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother Consuelo Diaz, aunts Mona Casillas and Melissa Jimenez and uncle Luis Casillas.  

            Luis is survived by his parents Guilleormo and San Juana Casillas of the family home in Lamar, children Zariah Casillas, Angel Casillas, Zayden Casillas, Azrial Casillas and Azaleah Casillas, mother of his children Nichole Tafoya and siblings Maria Casillas, Claudia (Andres Pizarro) Casillas, Jaqueline (Carlo Vargas) Casillas and Fernan Casillas all of Lamar, CO. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents Aurelio Villa and Maria Chairez of Mexico and paternal grandparents Primitivo and Maria Casillas of Lamar, CO as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
