A graveside celebration of life for longtime Granada resident, Louise E. DuVall will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Hillside Cemetery in Granada, Colorado with Reverend Kathy Leathers of the Bristol/Granada United Methodist Church officiating.
Per Louise’s request there will be no visitation.
Louise was born on October 2, 1924 at Portales, New Mexico to James Luther and Ollie Bell (Hightower) Rice and passed away on May 22, 2019 at her home in Granada with her family by her side at the age of 94 1/2.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis DuVall; her parents and her brothers, Melvin Rice and Earl Rice.
Louise is survived by her children, John (Myrna) DuVall of Granada; Susan (Michael) Scott of Westcliffe, CO and Eddie DuVall of Granada; grandchildren, Brian (Angie) DuVall, Cody (JoEtte) DuVall, Farah DuVall, Megan Madden, Steven (Pippa) Scott, Tyler (Samantha) DuVall, Ashley (Colby) Mick and Caleb (Chanelle) DuVall and great-grandchildren, Zachary, Treg and Taciee DuVall, Trail, Tripp and Tryleigh DuVall, Logan and Kyle Madden, Tessa and Elliot Scott, Rosyn and Riata Mick and Sawyer and Slade DuVall. She is also survived by her siblings, Donald (Sybol) Rice and J.D. Rice both of Holly, CO and Joyce Sturdy of Yukon, OK; brother-in-laws, Frank (Maralyn) DuVall of Lamar, Wilbur (Karen) DuVall of Katy, TX and Earl Martin of Swink, CO as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice and/or MD Anderson either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
