Lorraine Schleining
A celebration of life funeral service for longtime Wiley resident, Lorraine Schleining, will be held at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jesse Hill of the Wiley Church of God. Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.
Visitation for Lorraine will be held from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Lorraine Schleining was born on December 9, 1937 in Rupert, Idaho to John D. Weimer and Esther Schick-Weimer and departed this life on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Bent County Health Care Center in Las Animas at the age of 81.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; by her first husband – D.J. Schleining; by her second husband – James Brock; by one brother – Vernon Weimer; by one sister – Ruth Weimer; and by her sister-in-law – Joan Weimer.
Lorraine Schleining is survived by three children – Jean (Darrell) Sykes of McClave; Jim (Cindy) Schleining of Wiley; and Loren (Cindy) Schleining of Oxford, KS; by six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; stepchildren – Karla (Dan) Flook of Ft. Collins, CO and Karen Brock of Walsh; as well as by numerous other relatives and many friends to include the PMC Auxiliary ladies and the Bent County Historical Society.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Wiley Church of God or to the Gideons either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
