A graveside funeral service for longtime Lamar resident, Lillie Wells, was held on Monday August 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Holly Cemetery with Reverend Kathy Leathers of the Holly United Methodist Church officiating.
Visitation for Lillie was held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday August 12, 2012 at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Lillie Wells was born on April 10, 1921 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Ed and Lillie (Swartz) Davis and departed this life on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at Juniper Village in Lamar at the age of 91.
Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alfred Wells, and by one niece Mary Rebecca Murk.
Lillie is survived by one sister – Rosie Wells of Lamar; by three nephews – Allen (Melissa Burk) Murk of Lamar; Edward (Mary Lou Hall) Murk of Idaho Falls, ID; and Johnny Wells of Austin, TX; by grand nieces and nephews – Russell Murk and James Murk, Lana Nelson; Crystal Murk; and Violet McCray all of Rexburg, ID; Allen (Atha) Murk, Jr. and Danny Murk also surviving are a host of friends.
