            A Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar resident and former Gering, Nebraska resident, LeRoy Wayne Elliott will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 2:00PM at Gering Memorial Chapel in Gering, Nebraska with Reverend Lauren Ekdahl of the Gering United Methodist Church officiating.             Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the Gering Memorial Chapel.

            Leroy was born on November 30, 1919 at Gering, Nebraska to Alva Wayne and Jennie Cornelia (Gross) Elliott and passed away on March 14, 2011 at

Juniper
Village at Lamar at the age of 91.

            He is preceded in death by his wife; Lorraine Elliot, his parents; daughter; Carolyn Burkman and brothers; Bobby Elliott and Linwood Elliott.

            LeRoy is survived by his children; Judy (Dean) Douglass of Lamar and Dennis (Marlena) Elliott of Sacramento, California, grandchildren; Cheryl (Larry) Welton of Wilton, California, Mark (Nancy) Burkman of Camas, Washington, Dede Krausman of Parker, Colorado, Danny (Tammie) Douglass of Greeley, Colorado, Michael (Vanessa) Bozeman of Suwana, Georgia, Ricky (Hilary) Elliott of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Kimberly Elliott of Sacramento, California as well as 23 Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Lois Reitveld and Jenelva (John) Patterson all of Collins,
Iowa as well as other family and friends.

            Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice and/or Gering Fire Department either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
