Leroy E. Schwartz
A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Leroy E. Schwartz will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker officiating. Interment will follow at the Wiley Cemetery in Wiley, Colorado.

Visitation for Leroy will be held from 3:00PM until 7:00PM on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Leroy was born on May 29, 1939 at Pretty Prairie, Kansas to Cleo C. and Mary Ida (Vogt) Schwartz and passed away on May 17, 2018 at Prowers Medical Center in Lamar at the age of 78.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dean Schwartz and his mother and father-in-law, Frank and Esther Neuhold.

Leroy is survived by his wife, Jean Schwartz of the family home in Lamar, children, Rod (Lynn) Schwartz of Lamar, Gary Schwartz of Lamar and Melinda (Terry) Sneller of Dodge City, KS; grandchildren, Becky Schwartz, Kristin (Matthew) Bond, Jason Schwartz, Seth (Beth) Sneller, Erin Schwartz and Jordan Schwartz. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Morgan, Tyler, Alyssa, Isabel, Bailey, Cass and Jolee, his sister, Thelma Cole and his sisters-in-law, Patsy Schwartz, Margaret Thompson, June May and Elaine Davison as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar High School FFA and/or the charity of one’s choice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
