Leora Creech
A celebration of life for longtime Granada and Holly resident, Leora Mae Creech was held at 10:00AM on Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Fred Neuhold officiating. Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery in Granada.
Per Leora’s request there was no visitation.
Leora was born on August 10, 1911 at Neodesha, Kansas to Fred and Rhoda (Fender) Kilgore and passed away on September 20, 2016 at the Holly Nursing Care Center at the age of 105 with her family by her side.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Olen Creech; her parents; infant son, Larry James Creech; granddaughter, Kelli Kaylene Creech, great-grandson, Evan Mauck; three brothers and three sisters.
Leora is survived by her son, Charles (Marge) Creech of Lamar; grandchildren, Jodi (Sherman) Mauck of Merino, CO; Kami (Daren) Peterson of Elizabeth, CO and Delane (Shannon) Rushton of Holly; great-grandchildren, Jared Mauck of Eaton; Erin Schwartz of Lamar; Shane Baum of Elizabeth and Jordan Schwartz of Lamar and one great-great-grandchild, Jolee Vega. She is also survived by her three sisters, Arlene, Joyce and Donna as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Granada Cemetery Improvement Fund either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
