A memorial service for longtime Lamar resident, Leonard W. Dooley was held at 2:00PM on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Lamar United Methodist Church with Pastor Barbara Johns-Schleicher officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
Per Leonard’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
Leonard was born on June 20, 1927 at Marysville, Kansas to Alvie DeLay and Surilda Jane (Estes) Dooley and passed away on November 23, 2015 at the Lamar Estates Nursing Home at the age of 88.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Leonard is survived by his wife; Jennie Dooley of Lamar; children, Stanley (Peggy) Dooley of Wiggins, CO; Debbie (Roger) Foster and Diana Dooley all of Lamar; Ginger (Joe) Villalva of Albuquerque, NM and Jane (Greg) Sneller of Lamar. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well as numerous other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar United Methodist Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
