Graveside memorial services for former Lamar and Las Animas resident, currently of Surprise, Arizona, Larry Harman was held at 10:00AM, Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Las Animas Cemetery with full Military Honors under the auspices of the Las Animas American Legion Post #6 Honor and Color Guard Lamar V.F.W. Post #3621 and the Lamar American Legion Post #71.
Per Larry’s request cremation took place and there was no visitation.
Larry was born on August 18, 1947 at Las Animas, Colorado to Harvey J. and Wilma J. (Horn) Harman and passed away on May 30, 2015 at the age of 67.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Larry is survived by his children, Shannon (Ron) Krieg of Surprise, AZ; Amie (Michael) Banuelos of Colorado Springs, CO; Chris (Belina) Harman of Phoenix, AZ; Matt (Rachel) Harman of Aurora, CO and Alicia Harrington of Lamar and numerous grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Trisha (Gerald) Bach of Rockaway Beach, MO and Linda (Larry Bourne) Dickerson of Las Animas, CO as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends including Larry’s former wife and friend, Peggy Harmon of Lamar.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Las Animas American Legion Post #6 Honor and Color Guard and and/or the Lamar V.F.W. Post #3621 and/or The American Legion Post #71either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
