Kalum Eugene “Ken” Kiniston
A celebration of life for lifetime Lamar resident, Kalum Eugene “Ken” Kiniston will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow at 12:00PM at the Fort Lyon National Cemetery in Fort Lyon with Full Military Honors under the auspices of the local V.F.W. and American Legion Posts.
Per Ken’s request there will be no public visitation.
Ken was born on March 26, 1947 at Lamar, Colorado to Elmer Dey and Betty Lou (French) Kiniston and passed away on January 6, 2018 at the Prowers Medical Center in Lamar at the age of 70.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Ken is survived by his daughters, Angie Straughn and Dana (Doug) Kilpatrick all of TN; four grandchildren, Owen Straughn and Hannah Williamson and Kevin and McKenzie Black, his mother, Betty Kiniston of Lamar and his siblings, Patricia Duncan of Alta Loma, CA, Donald Kiniston of AR, Judy Defino and Tami Jennings both of Lamar. He is also survived by 7 nieces, 12 grand-nieces and nephews as well as numerous cousins, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
