Juanita Haskell
A Celebration of Life for Canon City, Colorado resident and former Lamar resident, Juanita A. Haskell will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Reverend Kathy Leathers of the Holly United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Veteran’s Section of Fairmount Cemetery where Juanita will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Kenneth L. Haskell.
Per Juanita’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Juanita was born on June 29, 1931 at Beatrice, Nebraska to Lester A. and Testa Fern (Puckett) Wright and passed away on May 12, 2017 at her home in Canon City, Colorado at the age of 85.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Haskell, son, Wayne Haskell and her parents.
Juanita is survived by her children, Aleta Shoemaker of Bennett, CO, Dan Haskell of Jupiter, FL, Larry Haskell and Brenda Haskell both of Canon City, CO ; eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters; Vanita Hawkins of Ft. Collins, Twila Jordon of Kalispell, MT, Lila Jackson of Ft. Collins, Viola “June” (George) Hartman of Casper, WY and Lola Wright of Ft. Collins as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions in honor of Juanita Haskell may be made to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice direct at 601 Greenwood Ave., Canon City, CO 81212 or in care of the funeral home office.
