Joe Malecki

A Memorial Celebration for Lamar, Colorado resident Joe Malecki will be held at

3:30 PM, August 5, 2022 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Pastor Paul Floyd of the Lamar High Plains Fellowship Church officiating. Happy Hour celebration of life at the Lamar Eagles will follow the service.

It’s the families wish for those attending that all wear Hawaiian shirts in true Joe fashion.

Joe was born on November 12, 1958 at Chicago, Illinois to Chester Joseph and Dolores Loretta (Cecot) Malecki. Joe passed away at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado on June 24, 2022 at the age of 63.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Uncle Babe, and many other relatives.

Joe is survived by his daughter Brandy and husband Troy Branom of Lamar; Cole Malecki of Grand Junction, CO; and Ryan (Heather) Malecki of Delta, CO Also surviving are his grandchildren Jace, Jax, Harlow, Jaidyn, Kailee, Colson, Trey, and Paisley and other relatives and many friends in Lamar, Telluride and Chicago.

Memorial Contributions may be made for a memorial bench to be put at the Lamar Eagles and all extra will be given to Lamar Area Hospice. Contributions can either be made to GN Bank in Lamar or in care of the funeral home office.
