Johnny Dwight Mayhew

            A private family service for lifelong Lamar resident Johnny Dwight Mayhew will be held at a later date.

            Per Johnny’s request cremation will take place.

            Johnny was born on June 21, 1953 at Lamar, Colorado to John W. and Ida H. (Sinka) Mayhew and passed away on September 27, 2023 at his home in Lamar at the age of 70.

            He is preceded in death by his parents.

            Johnny is survived by his wife Shana Mayhew of the family home in Lamar, son Ben Mayhew of Wiley, CO, daughters Tona (Terry) Arnold of Inman, KS, Casey (Matt) Maurio of Denver, CO and Jesse (Al) Bohlim of Brighton, CO, grandchildren Braxton Mayhew, Raya (Adam) Peters, Dalton Arnold, Colton (Joanna) Arnold, Hudson Maurio, Sutton Maurio and Tate Bohlim and great-grandchildren Aspen Arnold, Lily Arnold, Boston Peters, Eli Peters and Camden Arnold. He is also survived by his sister Becky (Vernon) Noble of Cibolo, TX as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

            Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
