John B. “J.B.” Rife
A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, J.B. Rife will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, July 10, 2017 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Pastor Paul Floyd of the High Plains Fellowship officiating. Interment with follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in the Veteran’s Section.
J.B. was born on November 9, 1923 at Manchester, Oklahoma to Maurice Livingood and Vivian Faye (Barnard) Rife and passed away on July 5, 2017 at the Lamar Estates at the age of 93.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Wildie Rife, his parents, daughters, Annette and Lynette, and his siblings, Margaret Nell Moore, Dick Rife, Bea Mae Scranton, Frank Rife and Merlin Rife.
J.B. is survived by his children, Virginia Gayle (Garry) Groves of Lamar, Sharon (Robert) Pippin of Wiley, John Wayne Rife of Lamar, Sterling (Dana) Rife of Canon City, CO and Stanley (Toni) Rife of Salt Lake City, UT as well as nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
