A private family memorial service for longtime Wiley resident, John Patrick Stubbs, affectionately known to his family and friends as Pat, will be held at a later date.
Per Pat’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Pat was born on December 31, 1951 at Laramie, Wyoming to John and Mary Angela (Green) Stubbs and passed away on August 3, 2016 at his home in Wiley with his family by his side at the age of 64.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Angela Stubbs; mother and father-in-law; Virgil and Shirley Batterton and three grandchildren, Courtney Gilliland, Angel Sanchez and Apollo Grant.
Pat is survived by his wife, Lola Gilliland of the family home in Wiley; six children, Shirley (Raul) Sanchez of Wiley, Mike Stubbs of Salina, KS, Tiffany (Steve) Grant of Ft. Worth, TX, Jonathan Stubbs, Eric Stubbs and Timothy Stubbs; seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-children, Vernon Gilliland of Ellsworth, KS, Paula (Cameron) Gilliland of Garden City, KS and Larry (Bernadette) Gilliland of Colorado Springs, CO, his sister, Elizabeth (J.C.) Collins of Wiley as well as numerous cousins, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pat Stubbs Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
