A private family memorial service for longtime Lamar resident, John F. Gonzales will be held at a later date.
Per John’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
John was born on July 6, 1949 at Las Animas, Colorado to Juan M. and Esther R. (Romero) Gonzales and passed away on January 29, 2018 at his home in Lamar at the age of 68.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Diamantina Gonzales and his son, John Gonzales.
John is survived by his children, Patrick Gonzales of MI; Ryan (Monica) Gonzales of Lansing, MI and Chris Gonzales of Vernon, TX and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Chris Gonzales of Denver, CO; Pete (Donna) Gonzales of Burkburnett, TX; Molly Gonzales of Lamar; Regina (Joe) Galindo of Lamar; Cecilia Lewis of Burkburnett, TX; Tino Gonzales of Colorado Springs, CO; Ben (Barbara) Gonzales of Lamar; John Phillip Gonzales of Las Animas, CO; Patrick (Maggie) Gonzales of Lamar; Suzie Gonzales of Lamar; Mary (Kevin) Molz of Pawpaw, MI and Amelia Gonzales of Lamar as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
