James H Hoesli
A Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar resident, James H. Hoesli was held at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker and Ray Matteson officiating. Interment followed at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Jim was held on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel and Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 10:00AM until time of service at the Lamar Christian Church.
Jim was born on December 23, 1935 at Delphos, Ottawa County, Kansas to Bernadine (Garrison) and Fred August Hoesli, Sr. and passed away at his home on April 10, 2012 at the age of 76.
He is preceded in death by his parents, younger brother; Cecil Hoesli and his father-in-law and mother-in-law; Jim and Opal Miller.
Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty of the family home in Lamar, children; Brenda (Dallas) May of Lamar, Brent (Lora) Pierce of Hasty, Trent Hoesli of Lamar, Travis (Trudy) Hoesli of Kremmling, CO, Tani (Jeff) Whitaker of Wichita, KS and chosen daughter; Joan (Argie) Thrall. He is also survived by his grandchildren; OJ (Louise) Pierce, Brady (Sara) Pierce, Holly, Riley and Haley May, Nick, Cassie, and Gracie Whitaker, Gracean and Lauren Hoesli, Tyler and Tyson Thrall, Allen Stoeber, Thomas Twyman, three great-grandchildren; Keith Pierce, Bella Pierce and Mitchell Twyman; as well as his brothers; Fred (Flora Mae) Hoesli of Glasco, KS and Doug (Marilyn) Hoesli of Salina, KS.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Christian Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
