A graveside memorial service for former Lamar resident, currently of Wichita, Kansas will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 1:00PM at Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.
Per Homer’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
Homer was born on March 18, 1942 in Cherokee, Oklahoma to Homer Wallace and Allie Esther (Lupton) Carpenter and passed away on September 6, 2014.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife; Mary (Metzler) Carpenter.
Homer is survived by his brothers; Sheldon (Linda) Carpenter of Pratt, KS, Bruce (Donnetta) Carpenter and Russel Carpenter all of Wichita, KS as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Barclay College, 607 N. Kingman, Haviland, KS 67059 and Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214.
Local services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
