A Service of Celebration for longtime Swink elementary school teacher and former Carlton resident, Glenda I. Higbee was held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Lamar United Methodist Church with Pastor Troy Greer officiating. Interment followed at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Glenda was held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
Miss Higbee was born on August 9, 1948 at Lamar, Colorado to Glenn A. and Hazel Irene (Bever) Higbee and passed away at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs on July 24, 2014 at the age of 65.
She is preceded in death by her fiancé Roger Price and her parents.
Glenda is survived by her sister Linda (Don) Koehn of Lamar, her nephews; Terry (Kayla) Koehn and Rex (Libby) Koehn as well as her grand nieces; Sterling and Lexy. She is also survived by numerous cousins including Richard (Maxie) Coffey, Dwight (Kay) Oswandel, Gary Bever, Greg Bever, Debbie Higbee and Denice Buchanan. Other relatives and many friends including Carol Hall and Patty Schaff also survive.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar High School Scholarship Fund or to the charity of choice direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
