George W. Frans

  A memorial celebration of life for Longtime Lamar, Colorado resident George W. Frans will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Peacock Family Chapel.

  Per George’s wishes cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.

  George was born on November 05, 1950 at Monte Vista, Colorado to Harvey and Margaret (Walthrup) Frans and passed away on July 09, 2024 at his home in Lamar with his family by his side at the age of 73. 

 He is preceded in death by his parents, son Eugene Harold Frans and brother Ralph Frans. 

 George is survived by his wife Shirley Frans of the family home in Lamar, CO, his children Sherry (Kelly) Harmon of Lamar, CO, Walter (Regina) Frans of Mt. Juliet, TN, Susan (Robert) Townsend of Amarillo, TX, George Frans Jr. of Lamar, CO and Lindsey (Damasio) Gamboa of Lamar, CO, fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins other family and a host of friends.

 Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
