Frances “Kika” Reyes
A Rosary service for lifetime Lamar resident, Frances Reyes, known to her family and friends as “Kika” was held at 9:30 AM, Thursday, April 18, 2013 and a Mass of Christian Burial followed at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis De Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery
Visitation was held from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Peacock Funeral Home.
Kika was born on October 10, 1921 at Lamar, Colorado to Justavo and Anita (Chavez) Reyes and passed away on April 14, 2013 at Prowers Medical Center at the age of 91.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Regina Hernandez and Carmen Lara as well as her niece Rachel DeLaRosa.
Ms Reyes is survived by her brother-in-law Robert Hernandez of Lamar, numerous nieces and nephews including; Angel (Carol) Castro of Covina, CA, Ernest (Jane) Castro of Pueblo, CO, Vickie (Jesse) Andrade of Lamar, Jesse Andrade of Denver, Ray Andrade of Lamar, Angela (Andrew) Garcia and Dede McDonald all of Garden City, KS and Esther (Rich) Lingle of Lamar as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Francis De Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
