A come and go memorial service for former Granada resident, Everardo Tovar was held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Saturday February 22, 2014 at the Granada Community Center.
Per Everardo’s request, cremation took place and there was no public visitation.
Everardo Tovar was born on March 3, 1937 in Villa Union, Coahuila, Mexico to Jose Tovar and Carmen (Hernandez) Tovar and departed this life on Saturday February 1, 2014 at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 76.
Mr. Tovar was preceded in death by his parents; by two brothers –Jesus Tovar and Mario Tovar; and by two sisters – Maria Guillermina and Felicitas Tovar.
Everardo Tovar is survived by seven children – Fabian (Donita) Tovar of Lamar; Juanita Tovar-Martinez; Anthony Tovar of Lamar; Cindy (Carl) Jones of Granada; Julian Veyna of Aurora; Fred (Lisa) Veyna of Lamar, and Raymond (Brenda) of Denver. by four grandchildren – Fabian, Domoniq, Lucinda, and Libby Tovar all of Lamar; and by three siblings – Maria del Refugio Morenoshe; Dora Alicia Tovar; and Ricardo Cardenas-Hernandez; also surviving are numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Everardo Tovar memorial fund in care of the Peacock Funeral Home.
