Evelyn Carpenter
A celebration of life is set for 10:00 AM Monday, April 9, 2018 for Lamar resident, currently of Ft. Morgan, Evelyn Carpenter at the Crosswinds Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Joel Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.
Visitation for Evelyn will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Evelyn was born April 7, 1918 at Grand Junction, Colorado to Michael John and Martha Bell (Jeffers) Tracy and departed this life on April 4, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Ft. Morgan, Colorado at the age of 99. She was married to Robert W. Carpenter, also from Junction in 1939.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bob on February 11, 2017, her parents and two sisters; Irene and Lavernie.
Evelyn is survived by her sons, Raymond (Jo) Carpenter of Menifee, CA and Marvin Glen Carpenter of Lamar, daughters Marilyn (Cecil) Tombleson of Lamar and Martha Lou (Don) Snider of Fort Morgan, CO and her sister Wilda Orvis of Grand Junction, CO. Eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren as well as two great great granddaughters other relatives and friends also survive.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Crosswinds Church of the Nazarene or to the Morgan Church of the Nazarene either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
