A private family memorial service for longtime Lamar, Colorado resident, Evalee Burk will be held at a later date.
Per Evalee’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Evalee was born on October 28, 1929 at Ellendale, North Dakota to Roy Dean and Viola Mae (Edwards) Peek and passed away on May 17, 2019 at the Prowers Medical Center in Lamar at the age of 89.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Dean Burk; son, Davey Jaynes, Sr.; granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Jaynes; her parents and five siblings.
Evalee is survived by her grandchildren, Davey Jaynes, Jr. of Rocky Ford, CO; eight great-grandchildren and her three siblings, Lynn Peek of Homboldt, NE; Kenneth Peek of Fowler, CO and Lorretta Brock of Tuscon, AZ. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Evalee Burk Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
