Earnest Eugene Ramos
A memorial Mass for Lamar resident, formerly of Granada, Earnest E. Ramos affectionately known to his family and friends as Ernie, will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Mariusz Wirkowski as celebrant. A rosary will be held prior to the Mass at 9:30AM at the church with Deacon Allan Medina reciting. Inurnment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery under the auspices of the local V.F.W. and American Legion Posts.
Per Ernie’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Ernie was born on January 1, 1952 in Granada, CO to Florentino Ramos and Betty Ortiz and departed this life on August 2, 2019 at the age of 67.
Ernie is preceded in death by his parents and siblings – Elsie Mae Luna; Sadie Montes; Dena Ramos and Rudolph “Rudy” Medina.
Ernie is survived by two daughters, Heather and Vanessa; his siblings – Mary Esther Ramos of Sharon Springs, KS; Peter (Kathleen) Ramos of Torrance, CA; Theresa (Robert) Gaebel of Lamar; Martha Ramos (Gerald Apodaca) of Denver; Ralph Ramos of Mt. Juliet, TN; Russell (Tanya) Ramos of Lamar; and Porfirio Gonzales, Jr. of Granada; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Services for Ernie Ramos are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
