A graveside memorial service for lifetime Lamar resident, Dorothy M. Herbaugh will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar with Pastor Darren Stroh of the Lamar First Baptist Church officiating.
Per Dorothy’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Dorothy was born on August 20, 1927 at Rural Lamar, Colorado to William N. and Ethel Harrison (Flippo) Hood and passed away on March 18, 2019 at the Prowers Medical Center at the age of 91.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Herbaugh, daughter, Sharon Herbaugh, her parents and her siblings, Rolan Hood, Urshel Hood, Leonard Hood, Isabell Hogarth, Lillian Thornburg and Birdie House.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Marlin Herbaugh of the family home in Lamar, granddaughter, Tracee (Mark) Peacock of Newton, MA, great-grandchildren, Oliver E. and Madeleine Marie, sister-in-law, Lois Herbaugh of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers-in-law, Paul Herbaugh of Las Animas, CO and Allen House of Sioux Falls, SD as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar First Baptist Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
