A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Donita Ann Price will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Reverend Darren Stroh of the Lamar First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas.
Visitation for Donita will be held from 1:00PM until 7:00PM on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Donita was born on February 11, 1936 at Tribune, Kansas to Ancille Lawson and Juanita Ann (Waldren) Howell and passed away on February 19, 2019 at the Prowers Medical Center in Lamar with her family by her side at the age of 83.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Gene Stewart; brothers, Jerome Porter Smith and Paul Howell; sister, Connie Moore
Donita is survived by her husband, Jack J. Price of the family home in Lamar, children, Kenneth Stewart of Salt Lake City, UT; Deborah Day of Lamar, CO; Jacquelyn Sharp of Lamar and Gregory Leland Price of Denver, CO; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; daughter-in-law, Jane Stewart of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by her siblings, Jack Edward Smith of Lamar; Steven Craig (Elizabeth “Libby”) Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC; Vicki Lynn (John) Conger of Hereford, TX; and Katherine Megehee of Macomb, OK as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family to include special aunt, Mildred Waldren and special cousin, Darrell Waldren and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Prowers County Genealogy Society either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
