A memorial service for former longtime Towner, Colorado resident, Dixie Scott was held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Dixie was born on September 4, 1928 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Benton Leroy and Nannie Gertrude (Engelman) Simpson and passed away on July 25, 2015 in Farmington, New Mexico.
On January 18, 1948, she married the love of her life, Keith Eugene "Skeeter" Scott. They raised two sons, Steve and Greg in Towner, Colorado. In 1997, she and Skeeter moved to Bloomfield.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Harry Renfrow; brother, Bill; half-sister, Julia Suzanne; and her soul mate, Skeeter.
She leaves to mourn her passing: her sons, Steve (Kay) of Bloomfield and Greg of Thorton, CO; three grandchildren, Amy (Aaron) Gerdes, Clinton (Linda) Scott both from Dodge City, KS, and Clifton Scott of Thorton; four great-grandchildren; six nieces; one nephew; stepsister, Shirley Sisneros; and a wealth of many friends.
